History
Axis of Time Design Group used to named Bod Design which was established in 1996 by two enthusiastic industrial designer. The major business at the early time was to provide design services on electrical appliances and furnitures requested by clients. After several years of adjustments, the business model is currently including design service, design consuliting, and product development. Design requests include 3C products, vehicles and boats. After a steady growth, the design tearm currently has six experienced industrial designers.
Axis of Time Deign Group won the Industrial Design Excellence Award (IDEA) by IDEA in 1996. In 2005, won an iF Product Design Award, iF International Forum Design. In 2006, won two iF Product Design Awards.
Environment
Axis of Time Design Group is located in Anping, Tainan, which served as the political, cultural, and economic center of Taiwan until the late 19th Century. Anping’s unique history has left itself with the heritage of tremendous historic sites such as Erkunshen Cannon Fort (1874AD) and Dytch built Chikan Tower (1653AD). Wisdom and skills of ancient technicians can be seen from localized architectures and remained daily used tools.
Around Axis of Time Design Group are fishing villages, harbors, and wetlands with red mangrove trees. The wetlands also serve as a stopover spot for migratory birds from Asia and Ausralia. To help preserve the beautiful and precious ecological features in the area, the Sutaso Wildlife Protection Reserve has been established.
Within an environment like this, originality with humanism spring up naturally in Axis of Time Design Group’s creative and design process. Through a keen sense, imagination, and insistence on beauty.
